So I ordered the repress of TOYPAJ from Mightier than Sword Records back in July. Dropped a considerable amount of money on it too. Since then I've had nothing but problems. They don't tell us when it gets delayed. They don't respond to emails about it. They don't give updates. Anyone else in the same boat? MTS seems to be defunct as of this month, no updates for 14 days at all. Starting to think they just ripped off 3000 people. Kevin and Seth if you guys ever pull this shit on us there's gonna be problems.

But seriously has anyone else had the same trouble?

There's a big amount of uproar around this release, or lack of. There was a big thread on vinyl collective that I was reading earlier today, but now I can't seem to find it.
Now there seems to be some trouble surrounding the such gold stand tall represses too.

MTS is dropping everything. There hasn't been an update about the label since March 30 and that was just an insignificant tweet. RJ has deleted all of his personal social media. My theory, he's completely out of money and can't admit it.

FInally looked into this. And you're right. We're most definitely screwed.

Yeah, while I won't feed the rumor mill, I've definitely noticed the rumblings coming out of MTS camp... and have several first-hand accounts of things not going smoothly. That said, I know nothing of the financials and really hope they're able to get these records out to people.

Yeah, weird indeed. And it seems like directly after sxsw is when all communication came to a complete stand still. At this point, even if the record did exist and was still coming, with everyone that's filed complaints with paypal and gotten or attempted to get refunds, MTS as a company/business probably wouldn't even have the $$$ to even ship them out. It really sucks when you dig a hole that you can't climb out of.

All I know is I want my record, a refund, or an update.
But it doesn't look like I'm getting any of those soon.
I don't understand why he can't be honest with us about the possibility of still getting this.
Like even if he explained that he doesn't have the money right now I'd be down with waiting a few months.

If he doesn't have the money now, then you'll never get a refund or a record. Just sayin'... Lookit how vinyl collective imploded. Lumberjack too. That's how these things work. Responsibility gets shrugged off, stuff gets lost in the shuffle, details get hazy and a bunch of people get screwed. If this goes down the Lumberjack / VC path, I don't expect anyone to get anything they ordered. Hopefully that won't be the case at all, but it doesn't look good, though.

If you guys ever pull this, I'm getting every tough guy hardcore kid in Boston to hunt you down and beat the crap out of you while Have Heart plays in the background.

I definitely feel awful for anyone waiting on something from MTS. I'll safely say that while we may have delays at times (due to pressing plants) we will never do this.
